SONGWRITING BLOG

SORRY AGAIN!
As of now (14th March 2020), I’m writing and recording an album, also moving house (with next abode not firmed up yet), so the blog is on hiatus for the next couple of months or so.

I’m also thinking of framing the next section of the blog as a practical songwriting demonstration in which I take an idea and turn it into a song, showing all steps in the process.

So, I’m looking for ideas for traditional-style songs – folk-tales, legends, fairy-tales, history, politics, humour, and, of course, love-stories that go right, and love-stories that go wrong!

If any songs end up good enough to put on an album, whoever came up with the suggestions will be credited on the cover. If the idea is reasonably detailed, all your own, and those details end up in a song that gets recorded, you’ll get a co-writer credit.

I’ve created this email address just for song ideas: bobleslie50@yahoo.com
If I’m snowed under with hundreds of ideas, I’ll only be able to acknowledge the ones I intend to try to develop. Please don’t think me rude if I don’t reply, life is too short!

I shall return! Bob.
